For those who don't read the books, Deep-Down Grags are Dwarfs who don't like open air and bright light, but considering these are Goblins which in the books are around 2ft tall, the sizing of the species in this production is all wrong.

Lady Sybil Ramkin looks nothing like we would expect which isn't a bad thing, but an opportunity to place a larger lady in a prominent role has been missed here.
City Watch - In the books he was a solid idealist with a strong faith in the justice system, whilst also being a committed cynic who knew that his ideals would never be met.
The Watch - Constable Cheery, the ingenious non-binary forensics expert, ostracized by their kin and finding a new home and identity.
City Watch - Constable Cheery is a dwarf, one of the first to be openly female. Dwarfs on the Disc all look alike, distinguishing between their differing genders was almost impossible, with beards being a notable feature along with the fact that they are shorter than humans.
Cheery decided that she would rather wear a heel on her iron boots and wear a leather skirt with lipstick to show the Discworld that she was a female dwarf.
The Watch - Constable Carrot, the idealistic new recruit, raised by dwarfs, but really a human abandoned at birth.
City Watch - Not a huge amount of difference here, except he trained Angua in the books. Even in looks Hugill makes a passable Carrot, he's not quite Carrot shaped the pun in the books was he that his build was Carrot shaped.
The Watch - Corporal Angua who is tasked with Carrot's training and keeping the rookie alive. City Watch - Angua has long hair and is physically beautiful with surprising strength and a tough attitude making her the officer most people feared the most.
The Watch - Lady Sybil Ramkin, last scion of Ankh-Morpork's nobility, who's trying to fix the city's wrongs with her chaotic vigilantism.
City Watch - Lady Sybil Rankin was most at home in wellies and a leather apron, wearing a wig to cover her singed hair from looking after the Swamp dragons at her Sunshine Sanctuary for Sick Dragons.
She had faith in the Patrician and his ways to make the city work for all, certainly not a vigilante. The Watch - Lord Vetinari, The Patrician of Ankh-Morpork, and architect of the city's normalized wrongness and ramshackle system of governance.
Played by an Actress here, we have no clue as yet as to how Anna will come across as the Patrician although by the quote she gave in a press release City Watch - The Patrician aka Lord Vetinari is a calm calculating man who fears nothing and believes firmly in the one man one vote as long as he is the man.
The Watch - Throat, the city's best snitch, with a gang of freelance henchmen at her beck and call. City Watch - C. Cut Me Own Throat Dibbler who is a street dealer selling Sausages inna bun and other delights such as a dragon detector.
He works alone although he does have dopplegangers all over the Discworld who may or may not be related to him.
City Watch - Spoiler Alert for the books Keel died in Night Watch, technically, and Vimes stepped into his shoes metaphorically so we have no clue how they are going to portray him.
The Watch - Wonse, a wizard hopeful in waiting that is frequently underestimated played here by an actress. Spoiler Alert He died at the end of Guards!
So little is mentioned about the last three characters that have been cast, so we'll leave you with the only description we have from the press releases,.
Carcer Dun, wounded and wronged, out to hijack destiny itself, take control of the city and exact a terrible revenge on an unjust reality. There has been no mention of Fred Colon or Nobby Nobbs, no mention of Detritus either, all of which are important members of the City Watch.
Are they not in the TV Series? Unfortunately a huge amount of the questions are of outrage and anger at what they perceive to be a slur on Terry Pratchett's legacy.
The original plan back in was that these would be original stories written with input from Rhianna and at the time Terry himself and they would have been canon.
If someone died in the TV series, they could never come back in the books, and the other way around. Complications came in when Terry died.
Clauses that would have stated Terry Pratchett had any form of input into the series would have no standing anymore as Terry Pratchett was no longer here.
Terry Pratchett and Narrativia are two different entities on paper, so what allowed one to do things, it didn't allow the other to carry on once Terry had died.
When Terry did the deal originally with the BBC, the team they had dealing with it was a completely different one to the team that has now made the series and as a result have negated any real input that Terry gave them when he was alive.
Rhianna stepped away from the project a long time ago to concentrate on other things such as her own writing career.
Rob Wilkins is a fellow director at Narrativia and he handles most of the workload. Intellectual Property holders don't get sign off on anything generally unless they are the showrunners as Neil Gaiman was with Good Omens.
They can have discussions with the production team but the production team don't have to listen. They certainly don't have creative control of the production in any way, shape or form.
Once the rights are sold, the rights are sold. Deals done mean that the rights to produce an adaptation sit with those who have bought it until the time limit runs out.
Because there is always a time limit on these kind of deals so that the IP holders can eventually get their rights back. It's like selling someone a mug and then after they bought it, demanding they can't drink coffee out of it.
It's not done and they can't stop it unless it breaches the contract or they run out of time on the option to produce. Pump is a golem, persistent, relentless, doesn't require breaks.
Several factors combine to convince von Lipwig to stick it out, despite his learning that the previous four postmasters perished under horrific circumstances.
There's the Patrician's impressive brand of intimidation, and Mr. Pump's presence and wide-eyed philosophy.
There is Reacher Gilt's meddling Gilt is not about to allow the post office to succeed. There's the mystical guilt trip as laid on him by the letters themselves; these missives cry out to be delivered.
Adora Dearheart, who smokes like chimney stacks, but is nonetheless entirely delightful. The reluctant postmaster is smitten and he stays.
And, by staying, he achieves a measure of grace. The acting is across the board superb. The production values are marvelous and eye-catching.
Fans of Mr. Pratchett ought to frolic over the film's little touches, those neat Easter eggs. There is even a Terry Pratchett sighting, as the man himself shows up for a cameo near the end.
Mostly, for me, it's about the central character. Richard Coyle has splendidly fleshed out Moist von Lipwig, making him into a very likable, everyman type of rogue.
Ever the showman, Moist von Lipwig applies his immense ability to bamboozle his marks. Thru verbal bells and whistles and grandstanding methods, he sways the doubting public into patronizing the post office.
In search of the fast buck, he invents the postage stamp and the Discworld's own version of the Pony Express.
And as the post office flourishes, Reacher Gilt reaches ever deeper into his bag of dirty tricks. It's pretty inevitable that a rivalry would surface between the post and the clacks, and that the written press would take note.
There's a sense of gratification, by the way, in observing Otto in the trenches. Easter egg. The heated rivalry culminates in a mile overnight race which pits a postal horse carriage versus the clacks' semaphore towers to see which of these establishments can first deliver a message.
Yeah, it smacks a bit of John Henry versus the steam-powered hammer. The odds weigh heavy against von Lipwig and his post office, but the dude is undaunted.
Still, it's this sort of windmill tilting that inspires the Patrician to make pithy observations. Dance seems more imposing and even more quietly menacing.
It moves fast. The characters capture your attention. You'll root for the underdog hero, and laugh at his shenanigans. You may even cross your fingers for him to win over the gothic and severe Adora Dearheart, but that's an uphill battle.
I knew I was in good hands from jump, from the opening credits which showcase the inner workings of the clacks. The clacks system is rendered convincingly, with its shutters and signal lights and ticker tapes.
It actually seems to be something that would function in real life. This screen adaptation isn't quite faithful to the original source.
Stuff's been added, omitted, changed in order. But the alterations do work within the constraints of the film's running time.
If you've only ever seen the film but haven't read the book and shame on you , then you may be compelled to pick up the book.
Because as good as this mini-series is, the book is even better. Pin collecting is just silly. An amazing, elaborate production using an alternate universe of 's era technology, wonderful characters, great settings, and a plot that lampoons the ridiculous antics of our modern-day Telecom giants?
No way! How this got written, funded and produced, I'll never know, but it's one of those gems that will never come again.
Surreal enough that it gets away with a thorough parody of not just the Post Office, but Unions, Hackers, and those bloodthirsty Clackers!
Oh, I meant the Telecom companies - see it and you'll understand. Wish there were more like this! Given that I could not make it through a single episode of Hogfather, I did not know what to expect from this, but I was pleasantly surprised by the story and acting.
It was an enjoyable, interesting watch. The casting choices were spot on and added to the fun. This was a boring show that went on twice as long as needed to considering there was nothing actually happening during the whole movie.
David Suchet put in a great performance as the evil clack owner which is only reason I am giving this 3 stars and not less.
It is a G rated movie so it is good for kids to see. Not something that I would recommend for adults. Just not enough of a plot or anything to keep me interested in any outcome.

The two lead characters were also well-matched and very watchable - Richard Coyle and Claire Foy certainly brought the Moist von Lipwig and Adora Belle Dearhart characters to life.
I also liked the golems and the clacks towers - wonderful to see. Excellent book, my favourite Terry Pratchett's novel from the Discworld, but yet again these TV interpretation fall a long, long way short.
Great actors but most didn't fit the roles. Trying to fit a story, which takes a couple of avid days to read, into less than 2hrs does not work.
To much missed, characters not filled out, important bits missing, relationships not made. All the bits we love best about Terry work.
I miss him. Very, very disappointed! Don't judge the books from any of these TV adaptations. One person found this helpful. My family enjoyed all three of the film adaptations to date of Terry Pratchett's discworld books, but this delightful film presentation of the book "Going postal" was probably the best of the three.
You can never make a film which completely captures everything in a book as complex as those which Terry Pratchett writes, but this is about as close as you can get.
When the purists can't find anything more significant to fuss over than details like Lord Vetinari a wonderfully sinister performance by Charles Dance having hair the wrong colour, you know a film is pretty close to the spirit of the book.
Of course the producers couldn't fit in all the details - the central character's quasi-masonic initiation into the postmens' guild had to go, for instance - but they included almost all the most priceless parts of the story.
Apart from Dance as Lord Vetinari, all the rest of the cast were also brilliant, particularly Richard Coyle as Moist van Lipwig, the engaging conman suddenly discovering a conscience, Clare Foy as Adora Belle Dearhart, the angry and dangerous heroine, Tamsin Greig as a lady reporter, Nick Farrell as the voice of the Golem "Pump 19" and Timothy West as the chancellor of Unseen University.
If the villain, Reacher Gilt, had a slight touch of Poirot about him, and Junior Postman Groat a slight touch of Manuel, that's because David Suchet and Andrew Sachs made some of the same mannerisms work in those roles.
Above all, the spirit of the film, like the book, is fun and this is brilliantly captured. I can quite understand why Terry Pratchett himself says in the introduction that he was delighted by what they were doing with his book.
I have now read it and agree with her. Definitely the best Pratchett adaptation to date - I look forward to many more in this vein.
Even if I wasn't a huge fan of the series, I would have enjoyed this production - probably because of the sheer enthusiasm and commitment of the cast.
Every one of the cast has made this book come to life on the screen and Richard Coyle, as the wonderfully named Moist von Lipwig, is a very charismatic lead actor.
Of course as with any adaptation from book to film, there are casualties of plot, character and often sense!
I must say I missed Tiddles I get the impression that 'The Colour of Magic' and 'Hogfather' were the film industry dipping their toes into Pratchett to see what temperature the water was - now that they know it's HOT, hopefully they will do more adaptations and get better and better each time.
